Foot Reflexology is the ancient art of foot massage that correspond to areas of the internal and external body. It focuses on meridians and energy pathways that run throughout the body. Reflexology allows your mind, body and soul to simply relax and unwind, resulting in a blissful state. As a level 5 trained Reflexologist I help clients improve their health as well as reduce their stress and anxiety.

What is Reflexology?
Reflexology is a complementary therapy that uses the philosophy that your body is mapped out on to the foot, hands and ears. By applying pressure to certain areas, I am able to identify ‘congestion’ or an imbalance of energy in that area. Using that information I have gathered during a full assessment, we can then tailor your subsequent treatments to fulfil your health needs.

How does Reflexology work?
Reflexology works by stimulating the energy flow into that part of the body. For instance, if a client presented with headaches, I would work the big toe – this area represents the head. Reflexology promotes the body’s own healing processes and can bring balance to the area of concern.

Chris is a registered Doctor of Chiropractic and has lived in the Midlands most of his life. He is very passionate about helping his patients, not only to get out of pain quickly, but also so that they can manage their conditions in the long term. He is registered with the General Chiropractic Council and a member of the British Chiropractic Association.

Chris first discovered his passion for chiropractic after having successful chiropractic treatment for low back pain when many others weren’t able to help. He has lived locally for many years and after gaining a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics from Exeter University in 1998, he enjoyed a successful career in computing before suffering a back injury playing sports.

After his injury, and realising how rewarding chiropractic can be, he became determined to train as a chiropractor and help people who experienced the same problems as himself. He finally realised his goal in July 2009 and is now a fully qualified chiropractor with a Masters of Chiropractic degree from the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic, Glamorgan. Outside of his profession, Chris enjoys mountain biking, football, cricket, travelling and spending time with his family.

With firsthand experience of how disabling back problems can be, Chris is very empathetic towards patient problems and is dedicated to relieving their discomfort whilst offering helpful advice and support. He is a strong believer that rehabilitation and strengthening exercises help to prevent long term problems and likes to encourage these in his treatment plan.

Chiropractic is suitable for all ages and there are many different gentle techniques that Chris uses in his treatments including: manipulation, massage, stretching, dry needling, SOT, activator, trigger point therapy and myofascial release.

Having worked in the corporate world for 20ish years, I re-trained in Aromatherapy in 2018 whilst on maternity leave with my baby son. The years leading up to my son arriving were pretty tough, I battled with fertility issues and suffered miscarriages.

Prior to starting IVF, I thought I’d explore alternative methods; I connected with natural therapists, read lots of interesting research and I embraced all things natural to boost my fertility and settle the anxiety that often goes hand in hand with the process. It worked and it also baffled the medical professionals! It was then that I discovered essential oils and their incredible healing properties and fragrances. I’ve since trained in hot stone massages and natural facials using luxurious organic skincare products.

I’m passionate about helping people, with my treatments or sharing useful information I’ve read. I take a keen interest in women’s health. .
