Hi I’m Sarah, I am a Chartered Physiotherapist who specialises in Pelvic Health. This path led me to a clinical interest and passion for Pilates which I have taught both 1:1 and group classes for the last 5 years. My training is with the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute (APPI) gaining up to level three matwork before completing my Clinical Pilates Instructor exam.
Clinical Pilates allows me to adapt and modify a Pilates repertoire to suit peoples needs, should that be recovering from injury, correcting postural complaints, gaining strength that’s required within the post natal, perimenopause and menopausal period or just simply physical conditioning. Small equipment is often used to add in resistance, gain stability and test strength.
As like most Pilates, APPI follows principles in each class to allow you to practice with pure control and focus on your movements. It helps to recondition the body from the central core to prevent the recurrence of low back pain for instance.
Clinical Pilates caters for all ages and abilities.
