I first became interested in complementary therapies in my mid 20’s when I turned to them for a back injury and my horse received treatment from a McTimoney Chiropracter, this being 20 or so years ago when complementary therapies were not as widely accepted as they are today. Both my horse and myself successfully recovered and this prompted my investigation into complementary therapies for horses and in 2002 I started a 3 year Equine Shiatsu Bodywork Diploma. I have now been running a successful equine practice for 14 years.
Due to a desire to also help people I also completed a Certificate in Acupressure Massage and I am currently in year two of a three year (human) Shiatsu Diploma. My aim over the next year is to deepen my understanding of Traditional Chinese Medicine – adding Cupping Therapy and Moxibustion Therapy to my practice.
I am fully insured and a member of the Shiatsu Society (UK) and adhere to their codes of practice.
