 The Virtual Gastric Band is a 4 to 6 session treatment including 3 Pre-op sessions and the surgery. The sessions are performed under Clinical Hypnotherapy.
Each session will take between 1-2 hours. Cost for complete program £250.
Session one is a consultation where full history is taken and blood pressure and weight.
Discussion about weight loss, food relation and the first session discussed. Gastric Band Manual will be given with all the information. The first Hypnosis treatment will take place and 2nd session booked. During the first week weight will be lost as food will not be thought about in the same way.
Session two is a reinforcement session. Continuation of weight loss and preparation for the surgery. The client will still lose weight and be eating much smaller portions. Exercise is also mentioned.
Session three is the stomach shrinking session. Some clients actually feel their stomach shrinking during this session. Their stomach will become much smaller in order for them to eat less, lose weight and establish a routine.
Session four. The surgery itself. This is done under hypnosis. The client wont feel uncomfortable whatsoever. Hospital sounds and smells will be used. Afterwards, the client will feel like they have actually experienced the surgery. Some feel a bruising to the stomach area and to the top of the hand where the local anaesthetic was given.
Post operative dietary advice is given which is the same as if the surgery itself had taken place.
After Gastric Band Surgery, diet will be split into 3 phases:
· 0-2 days Post-Surgery: Liquids only
· 2 days to 2 weeks Post Surgery: Soft Food
· 2 weeks and onwards: “Normal Food”
Tweaking the band. - This maybe needed if the client is either losing too much weight or not enough. The surgery procedure will be repeated and the band adjusted.
Band removal. The band may need to be removed once weight loss has been achieved. This will be done as a surgery procedure.
