
Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Meditation Groups are being held at the Clinic on Mondays at 10 am and more will follow due to popular demand, which will include an evening session very shortly. Mindfulness - "cultivating the quality of being awake, present and accepting of this moment's experience- which has a transforming potential on how we are with stressful, difficult and challenging situations."
The Satori Meditation offers a relaxed, safe and nurturing space. It's purpose is to support you to 'switch off' from day-to-day stresses.

The Satori Foundation is an enlightened vision of how the process of our life's experiences can create inner stillness and not drama, giving us choices to respond not react to external stressors. This meditation creates balance and deep relaxation within the mind and body.
Our aims are:
- To give people permission to live their moments fully and completely.
- Introduce you to ways in which you can listen to your own body and mind in order to become more balanced and in-tuned
- Aid you to begin to trust your own experiences more.
- We will offer you the tools to achieve this systematically
The usual position for meditation is sitting either on a chair or on the floow depending on personal preference. It is important to wear something comfortable. You may find it useful to veing a wrap or extra jumper as some people tend to get chilly from sitting peacefully.
The Meditation will be lead by one of the Satori Foundation members. You will be guided through the experience whilst being allowed the chance to enjoy the relaxation process.
Sessions are held in groups of up to ten people. It is also possible to have a one-to-one session if you prefer the privacy. The session lasts for one hour. Time is offerred afterwards for a discussion and the opportunity to share your personal experience of the meditation. This is entirely optional so as not to force you out of personal comfort zone. You will be provided with information and suggestions of how to continue your development of relaxation.
Sessions cost £7.50 based on the average prescription.
