
Following an initial consultation, you will experience gentle relaxation and allow the subconcious part of your mind to do the hard work for you. This all takes place in a non-judgemental confidential environment.
The number of sessions considered necessary, will be advised following consultation - every effort will be made to keep the number of sessions to a minimum.

Initial Consultation: Approx 15 minutes FREE
This can take place face-to-face, on the telephone or by email if you prefer.
Use this time to discuss whether or not hypnotherapy can help with your issue - to ask any questions you may have, to discuss expectations or whatever else you would like to discuss.
There is no pressure to commit to therapy - hypnotherapy works at its very best if you are ready to change and have an open mind with regards to this type of therapy.
At this stage, I will often be able to recommend the number of sessions I would suggest that you undertake. This will often be two, possibly one. However, progress is personal and we can discuss further sessions as we go along. Clients
experiencing the Stop Smoking session will be offered a second session free-of-charge should they require further support.
How many Sessions will I need?
It is important to recognise that every individual experiences hypnosis in their very own personal way and some people will require more sessions than others to address a similar issue... It is therefore difficult to know how an individual will respond before therapy takes place and for me to know exactly how many sessions a client will need.
You may prefer to book two sessions and cancel the second if you feel that you don't need it - or allow time to pass after the first session to give yourself a feel for how things have changed and whether you feel there is room for more change. The following information is therefore for guidance only ...
One Session... two Sessions????
Many issues can be improved with just one session of hypnotherapy and if that is all you feel you would like or can afford, then often this is fine. You may be surprised how much improvement you have made.
Some clients find that they have some residual issues that remain or that evolve from the initial work and would like to work on those during a second session.
Some clients use the whole of the first session to talk about issues that they would like to discuss; this discussion will incorporate psychotherapy and other salient issues may become unearthed. At least one further session will therefore be necessary to incorporate treatment.
Some issues can be addressed using different methods of therapy, both in and out of the hypnotic state. It may take two sessions to successfully implement all components of this therapy.
Some people may feel that, having enjoyed their first session and now knowing what to expect, they would like to experience a second session where they may be able to relax more deeply, reaching a deeper level of hypnosis and bringing about a more rounded improvement.
More Sessions...
Some issues get best results if a series of sessions are undertaken, for example, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). Having been trained by Michael Mahoney, the leading British hypnotherapist for IBS who works in Manchester, the therapy I use for IBS is the same and takes 6 sessions.
With regards to weight loss, it is more successful if addressed as a series of sessions. These sessions will be delivered with longer and longer intervals between sessions, which allows support to be given over a long period of time, as weight is lost, but also allows the client to remain in control and not reliant upon the therapist.

Stopping Smoking - Fresh and Healthy Lifestyle
Stop Smoking Session: up to 120 minutes: £120
The initial consultation is not necessary for stopping smoking, but feel free to ring or email to discuss if you would like to.
Many people may replace Smoking with a Fresh and Healthy Lifestyle after just one session of hypnotherapy. If you feel the need to return for a further session of Stop Smoking support, you will not be charged for this second session.
A support CD is always provided on the day of the session.

Follow-up Sessions: Approx 120 minutes £120
Due to the recent number of 'follow-up' sessions being extended from 90 minutes to a full 2-hour session at no extra cost to the client, I have found it necessary to increase the length of the session, and therefore the price of the follow-up session, to reflect this. I do hope you are able to recognise that my prices remain at a very competitive rate, with unusually long sessions allowing for good discussion alongside therapy, whilst reducing the number of sessions necessary.
Please Note: Current clients are not affected.
A Personal Therapeutic CD is included in ALL therapies. This CD will normally be forwarded through the post at a suitable time between or after completing therapy sessions, except for Stop Smoking - Fresh and Healthy Lifestyle, which is provided immediately after the initial session.
